Redclaw's Truth (Eclipse)

[Eclipse]

"I don't believe this is your home. If so, you would be here guarding it from strangers like us, would you not?" The large gray Alpha female asked, tail up in the air in dominance.

"Hey now. We were out for the night. That is not your business. What is your business is that you need to get out of here right now." Eclipse said, face firm and posture even more dominant then the other female. She was alone besides the small male pup and a slightly older female pup. They all reeked of the old Forest, which made her wary. But at least there wasn't an older male. They were the ones she disliked fighting. They were too powerful. But a mother they could take, though she'd rather not. She was a mother too, and understood why this female would take an obviously occupied den, if it meant protection for her pups. Plus a closer look revealed that another addition to their family was growing within her stomache...

Redclaw didn't like the idea of other wolves living in their home, but looking at them, they needed help. "Look," He said. "We'd be happy to let you stay in our den, but it is our den after all, so you're going to have to respect our rules. If you refuse to leave, we'll fight you for it." He got into a tense fighting stance to show he meant buisness. "We'd really have no problem with helping a wolf in need though. Honestly."

This change of plans surprised Eclipse, and she jerked her head up. Her eyes narrowed and her ears flattened slightly, and she forced a smile at this fae. Then she looked at her mate and nudged his shoulder, "Hey, come over here real quick. We need to discuss this." She said firmly, leaving no room for argument. Then she trotted out into a clearing just out of earshot, and sat down, and waited for him to catch up.

When he sat down beside her she gave a soft growl. "We should both be a part of this decision don't you think?" She snapped with annoyance, fur bristling slightly. Then she licked his nose and made herself calm. "There is a cave just behind ours, I found it the other day while hunting. It is back far enough that we can have conversations without disturbance, but close enough we could keep an eye on her, and help keep her and the pups nourished." She said softly, eyes meaningful. He would probably remember it, it sat about 15 paces away from their den's back entrance, a natural dip in the earth with a mossy overhang that kept it hidden. The creek flowed a few feet from it, and they could help feed her family until she was strong enough to move on.

Redclaw dipped his head to acknowledge the visitors and followed his steamed mate out of the den. She told him of a sort of mini-cave branching off from theirs, or by the back of theirs, or something like that. All he did was smile at his mate. "You're cute when you get riled up." He licked her nose in response to her agitated huff. "I heard you pup, I'm just teasing you. It sounds like a fine idea to me. Let's go suggest it." Giving his mate a playful bop on the nose, they headed back to the cavern, pelts brushing.

The visitors' response was less than pleasing. "WHAT?! No. We found this cave, it was vacant, and we intend to raise our pups here. You cant kick us out." Redclaw looked at his mate. He turned back and said, "Please dont make this harder than it has to be, we found and lived in this den long before you even showed up. This was where we raised our pups. This is OUR den. And if you can't accept that, then I'm afraid we have no choice but to fight." Redclaw lowered himself on his forepaws and stuck his tail straight up. If these tyrants wanted their cave they'd have to put on quite an amazing show.

Eclipse bristled with annoyance at her mate's comment about her cuteness. Normally she would be pleased, but right now her protective side was flaring up. This was *their* cave. Then she calmed when he laughed and licked her nose, smiling, and agreeing with her.

"WHAT?! No. We found this cave, it was vacant, and we intend to raise our pups here. You cant kick us out." Her mate immediately tuned in his own opinion; as always being polite. She, however, did not plan to do so. This pregnant female wouldn't be able to fight well anyways. "Either accept our option and rules, or get the hell out. I don't want to harm your pups, being a mother myself, and if you care about them you will leave now. I will fight for my home, and I will not stand to be spoken to like that, in my own home." She spat, fur bristling along her spine, ridged and risen like the sail of a ship, bristling almost as fiercely as a field of grass in a storm. Her fangs were bared, and her ears pinned, and her silver eyes shot cold ice, with flecks of blue giving them an extra sharp appearance. She snarled darkly, and let her body square up, uncaring whether or not her mate reacted enough to be her back up. She could take this pregnant fae and her children one handed, with her eyes closed. Though she really, really did not want to. Her tail and head were up, body and legs stiff, posture reeking with the evidence of feist and dominance, and an equal share of power.

OOC: We need someone else to play them, then it will be even more unpredictable, and we wont simply have control over the whole thing

Redclaw was torn. He hated fighting, and he especially didn't want to hurt this new mother, but it was his home! Shouldn't he have a right to it? "I still want to settle this peacefully, but you've given us no other option." Without any warning by use of his ears or fur, he leaped at the male and started biting his head, not trying to hurt him, but definately making him learn his lesson. Eclipse jumped right in beside him, and the two fought together, a powerful force to be reckoned with. Redclaw was impressed with her. Her powerful muscles were good for more than just fun, and he'd have to remember to compliment her on them later. While he was distracted with his mate however, the male tackled him on his back and started clawing at Redclaw's soft belly. "AH! Eclipse! Help me!" The male had pinned his legs to the ground and Redclaw had no way to defend himself, since his forepaws were stuck behind his head. If this went on for much longer, he would die. The male kept his face away from Redclaws snapping teeth, and he just kept on tearing fur from Redclaw's smoky grey pelt. If Eclipse didn't act soon, he'd be gone.
