OOC: What if we went to when they were leaving, and left their stories for different RPs. I want to sort this Tharin thing out before we start something else. Just an idea

Redclaw stared at his three pups with pride as they walked out of the family cave for the last time. Where had the time gone? He hadn't the slightest clue. He turned to his faithful mate, Eclipse. She may have been older, but it didn't show. She was still the same fire-eyed rambunctious fae he'd fallen in love with all those years ago. He'd never stop loving her. Never ever ever! Their life was perfect at the moment. The pups promised to visit, Eclipse and he had the cave to themselves for once...

Hiding their "affection showing" had gotten tiresome over the years. The pups didn't leave them time for any of that, and when they did find time for romance, it was always interrupted by a crying or excited pup. But now that they were gone... It was fun time.

Redclaw nudged Eclipse with his nose, stood there for a second, and then darted off into the cave. He splashed into their water pool, which was kept full by a small crack in the wall, and waited for his mate to follow.

However, when she came back through the entrance, he didn't see the affection and love he'd expected. Instead, there was sadness and grief. As turned on as Redclaw was, he knew he had to take Eclipse's needs into consideration first. He padded over and laid his head on her shoulder. She was crying. "I'm sorry love. You knew they had to leave at some point." "I know. I just wish Star was with them." Redclaw sucked in his breath. Star was their fourth pup, and had died a horrible death which neither of them knew the cause of. The only one who knew was Star... Redclaw, however, didn't care about the cause, all he could remember were horrible images of Cesar, running to tell him Star was bleeding and most likely dead. He remembered the orange, cracked leaves scattering all around him as he raced to save his favorite pup. But it was too late. Blood gushing from a wound in her neck, she lay there, frozen in a sleep that not even he could awake her from. Her lovely eyes stared back at him in a cold, lifeless gaze, which chilled him to the core. He had started to nudge it. Softly at first, gently calling her name. As if she would wake up. When she didn't he started pushing harder, screaming her name as the other pups watched with horrified expressions on their faces. After a few minutes, Redclaw had sat there and cried, mourning the loss of his closest friend besides Eclipse.

Redclaw shook the memory from his mind and spoke as calmly and clearly as he could. "Come on Eclipse, it's been a long day. Let's go to sleep."

OOC: If you don't like Star dying, I can change it...

OOC: It's fine! It adds to the RP Hey, we should both take one or two of the pups, RP them, and start an open thread for three new RPs

Eclipse sniffed. Today was a sad, yet happy day. It was the bittersweet victory that all mothers must face some day. The pride that filled her, because she had succeeded in raising three healthy, energetic pups that were destined to wander and start a pack, or at least gain a mate and their own pups. The disgust, the fact that she let one of her own pups die, took her freedom and energy, and her ability to grow and love. Then the sorrow, for her beloved children, her blood, her flesh, his blood and flesh, for they were leaving her and she was unsure when she would next see them. Then the joy in the fact that she and Redclaw were free to do as they please. The guilt, as she recalled her past, with her first mate. Then the joy again, for her past was gone, and she had this amazing mate beside her.

"Sleep? No, I'm okay. Have some energy left though, want to hunt? Or play? Have any other ideas how we could use our extra energy?" She teased, wagging her tail playfully as her mixed emotions washed away for the moment, and all that was left was her heat scent, long forgotten in the loving rush of caring for the pups.

OOC: Kinda short, but I'll be on more often, so I can get back into RPing lol.

Redclaw appreciated that she wanted to comfort him in the way only she could, but he just wasn't in the mood. "I'm sorry Eclipse... I can't... not today anyways... I just need some rest." He turned towards their den to get some sleep. He barely noticed Eclipse coming in and lying down next to him. Her tongue rasping against his side, he drifted off into sleep...

He dreamed that day. He dreamt of terrible things. His pups untimely deaths in the wild, their possibility of straying over to the regular forest and becoming whores like he had once been. All his dreams were terrible, and left him jumpy and tired when he woke up late that night. He was surprised to see Eclipse on the other side of the cavern, and realized that his shaking must've gotten annoying, and she'd moved away. Feeling ashamed, he went over and started licking her pelt, wishing that his mind wasn't plagued with the dread of not knowing how his pups were... Maybe he'd meet up with them again someday... He was a much different wolf than he used to be. He used to be fun-loving and never took anything seriously. All that seemed to go away when they had pups. Did he wish they didn't? He looked at his sleeping mate. Never. She was always going to hold a special place in his heart, no matter what happened. He yawned and rested his head on her side. Hoping she'd wake him up in a "special" way the next morning.

Eclipse was disappointed, but hid it well. If anything, that was what she was good at. Hiding her feelings. If she didn't want them to be known, they weren't.

So she followed him, curling up and licking his side comfortingly. She did love him, but he had changed recently. She shivered, wondering why. Was he hiding secrets from her, like her first mate had? Then she shook that thought off, she did believe him capable of it, but the thoughts of Tharin were still painful in her memory. He had hidden so much from her, and she felt he had used her. Yet she still felt a familiar tug on her heart when she thought about him.

As upset as she was, she felt guilty thinking about him while cuddled with Redclaw, so she banned herself, and moved across the cave, curling up on the chilled stone floor. Then she imagined his face, the look in his eyes when he spoke of traveling, of his den by the sea. The memories of their first meeting, on the beach, while she played in the water, a foolish young virgin fae, and he could have easily overpowered her with his size alone. Yet he had smiled and laughed, inviting her to play, and not even attempting at mating her for a while. Now she knew how hard that must have been, especially once you added the Forest's curse, and the fact that it had been her first heat, the strongest it would ever be in her entire life.

She had fleeing her parents then, and he had helped shelter her, protecting her. Then It happened, and she left him, much like he had left his first mate. She fled, racing over beach and mountain and plain alike, until she met and rescued Redclaw from the grip of his evil family, as they tortured him mentally and physically, even adding sexual torture in.

She had lied to him, telling him she fled her father and his evil ways, which in a way she did. But really she had betrayed and fled from her mate, ending their relationship forever, after he betrayed and lied to her. She didn't want Redclaw to know that however, and kept up the act of a foolish young virgin who just wanted a friend, and help against her father.

And he had helped her, going so far as to kill her father. Now they were on a search to find his mother, and she felt the familiar prick of betrayal in her paws, the will to run from it all, again. But she had Redclaw, she had pups, and a safe home now. Tharin had probably hooked up with his old mate when she had confronted them and she left, and she had probably taken him back to the old Forest, which meant she had the new land's borders keeping her safe and protected, far away from him...

When she woke, whimpering and whining from her bad dreams, her memories of that day, she noticed a strange warmth on her side, and looked. Redclaw had moved next to her again, and was snoring gently away on her shoulder, a smile on his face. Like an angel, a sleeping angel. Her doubts disappeared for now, and she remembered something. If she hinted what she wanted, he tended to deny her. But if she surprised him, woke him in her own special way, he never denied her, pushed her away.

So she slipped over to his side, gently placing his head on the ground, and wagged her tail to flare her scent, which was beginning to fade with age, but not too much. It was still pretty potent. She dipped her head, licking his body, and kissed him for real, the first real kiss they had had in a long time.

OOC: Ha! 647 words! Beat that! :D

OOC: So, wait, Tharin is already done and over with? When are we going to meet up with him? Oh well... back to buisness

Redclaw woke to the delightful sensation of Eclipse's tongue and mouth tracing up and down his body. He shivered with excitement as she reached his mouth and kissed him. He kissed her back, feeling all his youth and playfulness rushing back into him. With a grunt he pushed her over and tackled her into a deep passionate kiss. He hadn't felt this way ever since before the pups were born. He was finally getting his old self back.

After kissing for a few minutes, Redclaw couldn't resist anymore and he was about to have his way when suddenly, he stopped. "Eclipse..." He mumbled, "No more pups for a while, okay? I want it to just be you and me again, okay?" Eclipse's response was a half spoken half moaned "Okay, I think that's a good idea... I've missed you Redclaw... Part of you died when our pups were here... I hope I can bring you back." Redclaw grinned. "I know a pretty good way to get me back." With that, he gave a playful growl and went to work.

Later that day, as Redclaw was washing up from the morning's romp and Eclipse was out catching food, he noticed a new smell. Redclaw sniffed again. It smelled like wolf. Redclaw followed it outside the den to find Eclipse mating with another wolf! Redclaw hid from both of them and watched, heart breaking as the two expressed their love. "Oh Eclipse, I love you so much." "I love you too... care to show me how much?" With that, the brute howled and went crazy on his mate...

Redclaw awoke gasping and panting for breath. He looked around their home, unsure of where he was at first, and even unsure of when he fell asleep. It's okay... I'm safe in my den with Eclipse at my si- Eclipse? Eclipse? Oh no! where'd she go? Fearing his dream had been reality in some strange way, he bolted out of the den towards the meeting place of Eclipse and the strange wolf from the dream.

He reached the spot in his dream and looked around. He couldn't smell Eclipse or the strange wolf anymore.

[Eclipse]

OOC: Almost Want to pretend his dream is like a vision, and soon Tharin will show up?

Eclipse yipped with delight, letting her mate take over...

Eclipse was hunting, a young elk calf in view, and she targeted it immediately. Its mother sensed her presence however, and charged, death threats in her eyes. Eclipse dodged her, and attacked the calf, but the mom had swung around and now charged her again, while the calf struggled in her jaws. She closed her teeth together, and the calf went into the extremes of his death throws, and Eclipse took off. Once the mother left her dead, she could go and get her kill, then bring it back to the den.

But the mother sensed her some time later, and charged the bush the fae was hiding in. Eclipse had buried herself in the brambles, intent on hiding well, not thinking she would need a quick escape. The cow sensed this and was about to lay her flat when a strange new scent hit her nostrils, directly before a strange wolf jumped out, a thin body with gangly legs, covered in exotic copper fur just touched with spirals of silver, and black tail tip. His gray/blue eyes were unique, sorrowful and sad, but that was not the strangest thing. In his left ear there hung three rings, one gold hoop like a pirate's, and two turquoise chunky ones.

Eclipse froze. It couldn't be. He was supposed to be in the Old Forest! She turned tail and fled, after grabbing her kill.

She dropped the calf inside the cave, then went to the very back to hide. She didn't know where Redclaw was, but she was relieved. If he was here he would want to know what was wrong...

OOC: That's what I was going for, however I wasn't done with my post, That's why I said more later. Oh well, this works too

Redclaw looked all around for Eclipse, and couldn't find her anywhere. "Eclipse! Eclipse! Where are you?" He had been searching for about four hours when he picked up her scent. He froze in terror as he realized the other scent accompanying it... It was the wolf from his dream! Redclaw growled and charged towards the scent.

As Redclaw came closer, he smelled what sounded like a deer kill. He snuck up on the site, in case Eclipse and her "mate" were still there having fun. What he saw made his head spin. There were the bloodstains of the deer, and the strong smell of the other wolf nearby. Sniffing again, Redclaw pinpointed the mysterious stranger and went on the hunt for him.

Redclaw used every stalking technique he knew to stay hidden from this wolf. There was no way he was losing him. If this had to do with Eclipse cheating on him, he had every right to know. Wait, what was he thinking? Eclipse would never do that! Would she...? His pace quickened. Suddenly, the wolf appeared. He was tall and had copper/silverish fur with long legs and the tip of his tail was jet black. An interesting feature about this brute was that he had three rings in his left ear, kind of like a pirate. To Redclaw's disappointment, he was handsome as well. Much more handsome than he was... Without a word he turned and booked it back to his and Eclipse's den. He knew in his heart that this would NOT be a simple explanation.

He burst into the den with anger and hurt comming off of him in waves. without even waiting for her to greet him, he burst out "Eclipse... You're not keeping any secrets from me, are you?" Her facial reaction gave him no comfort whatsoever.

[Eclipse]

OOC: Oh lol Sorry! xP

Eclipse jumped, spinning with fear and her eyes, he had found her! He was coming for revenge! Or for a second chance? She was unsure...

Then she sighed. It was just Redclaw, not the strange and handsome male that currently roamed the area around her kill. "No." She said softly, moving forward to kiss her mate. "Why would I hide secrets from you?" She asked curiously, asking herself as much as him. Asking him why he had reason to need[/i] to ask that question, and asking herself why she hadn't told him of her past in the year or so that they'd been together. She was frantic, unsure why Tharin was in the New Forest, and not sure she wanted to. But what if he just had a new mate? Or had hooked up with Liotie again? Her lip curled at that name, half smile, half snarl. But she made it disappear, hoping Redclaw hadn't noticed...
