Redclaw's Truth (Eclipse)

[Redclaws]

As Eclipse moved back to the pup's sides, Redclaw took a drink of his own, and settled in beside her. Everything else seemed to melt away, the entire world was just him, Eclipse, and their four blessings. That was a peculiar thing about this forest... All of his troubles and cares just melted away. This in itself, brought Redclaw a problem. "Eclipse. Do you have any idea where we are?"

OOC:Meh... so short... They'll get better... we just cant stop... believen! and we gotta hold onto that feelienen. with the streetlights... and people oh oh ooooh oh ooooooh!! (guitar solo)

[Eclipse]

OOC: Haha lol okay RC xD

"None at all," Eclipse said, suddenly worried. "Do you?" She liked this place, but who knew if this feeling was a false comfort? Maybe this land was worse then the last! She whined and curled closer to her pups. They twitched and snuggled into the warm curles of her fur and breasts to sleep more safely, and Chestnut curled up to her father.

OOC: Are you makin fun of me?

Redclaw murred and moved closer to Eclipse. Dangerous forest or not, she was his mate, and no amount of dnager would ever make him leave her side. He smiled to himself when Chestnut curled up next to him. Even though they all had only been born for a few hours (and Redclaw was "busy" in those hours anyways) He had grown fond of the little brown fae. He knew that they all would become his beloved kin and would make him very proud one day.

His mind going back to the previous issue, he kissed Eclipse on the forehead and whispered, "Don't worry Eclipse. As long as we have each other, nothing will go wrong." He looked into her eyes and kissed her on the lips this time. He was about to lie down again, when a smell hit his nose that sent him straight up and growling. "Fox" he muttered.

For a full grown wolf, foxes weren't any trouble at all. Foxes and wolves could even be friends. However, they were also infamous for stealing pups when they got away from their mothers, and either eating them or bartering them for sex or dominance in a pack. Redclaw remembered that, in his abusive clan, which seemed miles away by now, when a queen had run into the clearing shouting that her pups had been stolen. Redclaw was in the middle of receiving a beating, and barely heard what was going on until he was stuffed into his den and the guards were placed in front of it. After a lot of pestering, the guards had told him that a fox had come along and taken the queen's pups. Redclaw had shuddered at the thought, but at the same time, he also wondered if it would've been better to have been eaten by a fox as a kit. He looked at Eclipse. No, it was worth it to stay alive. All those beatings couldn't even begin to compare to the joy I feel when I'm with Eclipse. Still wary, he told Eclipse to keep the pups safe, kissed her, and went out to investigate.

What he saw, didn't look like the foaming furball of fury he had grown up learning to despise. This fox looked... well... kind of like a wolf. He was big and well fed, his coat was a fluffy wonder, and Redclaw could barely keep himself from staring at its beauty. Loosing common sense for a second, he called out to the fox, and instantly regretted it. Stupid! I have no idea what that thing is capable of! The fox started bounding over, and upon another careful sniff, he recognized two important things. One, this was the only creature around, no pack. And two, it was a female, who was probably less likely to attack another female who had just given birth. Redclaw tried his best to be friendly. "Hi... My name is Redclaw." She stood right in front of him, not even faltering at his size, maybe twice hers. "I'm Arma! Are you new here? Almost everyone knows me!" Being used to the Forest of Lust, Redclaw thought that by her saying 'everyone knows me' that she meant she was a slut, and wanted him. Ignoring that, he continued. "What are you doing here?" Arma laughed "Well don't just show up and act like you own the forest. You probably don't even know where you are, do you?" "N-no..." Redclaw admitted. Arma laughed again. "Typical males, think they own everything." She sniffed him, then squealed with delight. "Ooh! Your mate just had pups! I can smell them on your coat! Mind if I take a look?" Before Redclaw could do or say anything, she trotted off towards the den, with Eclipse and their newborn pups waiting inside. Redclaw hurried after her, hoping his assumption that she was harmless was right.

OOC: Yay! Super Long!

[Eclipse]

OOC: Yay!! Now I'll try really hard to keep it long!

Eclipse murred with amusement, seeing his fast growing attachment to the tiny pups. She licked his ear and murred, humming softly to soothe them all. Even she herself relaxed a bit, melting into his side as her eyes drooped, the sun warm on her dark side and head. Her eyes became silver and ice slits, and she snored lightly, just waking when he spoke. She nodded and kissed him back, "I know that. But I still worry," She said softly. "How can I not?"

She jerked, her tongue breaking from its entrancing traces of his lips, and growled. She picked each pup up one at a time, making them whimper softly as she hurried them into the cave. These were her's, and she would fight to the death for them. No fox or wolf would touch her pups, ever.

After she set them down in the downy soft nest of rabbit fur she'd made earlier for such occasions, Eclipse came back and sat just inside the mouth of the den. The walls shadowed her dark fur, making her blend in. And her scent was warm and milky, same as the cave's, so she was well hidden here. She snarled as the fox bounded up, Redclaw chasing after, and lunged at it. In an instant she calculated it was female, and alone, and also had a family somewhere. That much was clear from her scent, and also that this was no small fox. She'd seen foxes half that size do enough damage to wound a pack in spirit and physique for months, if not years. Vixens often raped, killed, and/or ate those they caught, and Eclipse didn't want that happening to her pups.

So she lunged and snapped at the vixen, catching her off guard and forcing her back a few steps, lunging and continuing her onslaught.

OOC: I was thinking, maybe the foxes could be the origional folk of the New Forest? You and me could make a family of foxes, and only us as we're administrators! They could guide wolves and stuff like that!

OOC: Our minds are so alike! I wanted her to be like that, but I always thought of Redclaw and Eclipse being the know it alls. Oh well, sure, we'll make some fox chars and rp. We should make like, a default start called "welcome to the forest" and repost it 3 or 4 times so different people can get introduced to the forest!! Anyways, on to posting...

"Stop!" Redclaw shouted as he thrusted his way in between the two females. "Eclipse, what are you doing? She's not a threat yet." He pushed her back over by the pups. She nipped his shoulder, not enough to make him bleed, but enough to make a point. "You idiot! She wants my pups! Don't let her come near them!" Redclaw licked his shoulder and tried to comfort her more. "Eclipse, you know I wouldn't let anyone harm them. They're my pups too. I just don't think we should go around attacking everything we see because it's new to us." He turned to the vixin. "I'm so sorry. We're both a little high strung right now. Our pups have just been born and Eclipse is one of the most protective wolves I've ever met. It's one of my favorite qualities about her." He licked her shoulder as an apology for getting in her way.

Arma sounded genuinely ashamed. "I'm so sorry Eclipse! I didn't mean to frighten you, I just love pups! They're so cute! I was never able to have any of my own because... Well... Because I can't. At any rate, I'm very sorry if I offended you." Redclaw knew Eclipse wasn't going to completely trust the vixin for a long time, but she relaxed a tiny bit and barely choked out the words "I'm so sorry." Realizing the tension wouldn't be relieved quite as easily as he had hoped, Redclaw led Arma to the middle of the den, a good seven feet away. "I think we'd all feel safer if there were more distance. Sorry, but it's just how it has to be." Arma shrugged "Don't apologize, I'd feel the same way. She sat down and made herself comfortable. "Now, I bet you're wondering where you are, aren't you?"

Redclaw and Eclipse's ears perked simultaneously. The fox now had their full attention. Redclaw was first to get his mouth working. "Yes, we'd very much like to know where we are." Arma smiled and tucked her paws under her fluffy white chest. "First off, welcome! You've found the Forest of Less Lust. Conveniently located right next to the regular Forest of Lust, where, judging by your smell, you just came from. This forest, you'll find, is much more suitable for family life, and it's a good place to escape from all the mindless banging and endless screwing. Here, you're just free to live your life, make friends, and just have fun, without having to worry about rapists or any other horny creatures ruining your day. We do, however, have the same enchantment as the regular forest, for those wolves who do want a more "exciting" first encounter, but these are rare and if they do happen, it's for love, not lust. Any questions?"

Redclaw had just under a million. But since he spoke first last time, he figured he'd let Eclipse have the first word in this one.

[Eclipse]

Eclipse snarled. "I'm fine! But your an idiot for bringing a fricken stranger to our pups, and a fox no less!" She bared her teeth and crouched protectively in front of the pups, her lip curled to expose long curving fangs, her nose wrinkled in blind rage, and tail pinned between her legs. When she said she was sorry, she wasn't speaking of her attitude, she was apologizing for calling him an idiot, though she was still mad as all heck, and her eyes danced red. But she quieted, barely listening.

"Just stay away from my pups." Eclipse snarled, her eyes a hard silver color that glittered like frozen ice. She was stubborn, protective, and strong. A powerful and dangerous combination for an angry mother with pups, especially one who was feeling threatened. She crouched in front of the nest, and made soft comforting noises whenever one of the babies whimpered fearfully. She knew she was scaring them, but she couldn't stop.

She watched Redclaw move themselves further away with those same frighteningly harsh eyes, glaring with death in every blink and pupil. "Of course we are." She snapped.

Eclipse was feeling cranky and growled, "Yes. When are you going to go away?" She saw Redclaw look shocked at her words, flipping around to glare at her, and she grimaced. But she wasn't sorry, and her expression told him so.

[Redclaws]

Redclaw couldn't believe how rude Eclipse was being! Sure, this fox could've been trouble, but didn't she trust him enough to know that he wouldn't let anything harm their pups? However, no matter how she acted, he was madly in love with her, and saw past all that. His love won out, and he granted her requests. "Actually, I think it might be better if you did leave, Arma. But thanks for the information, it was very helpful. Maybe we'll see you again?" Eclipse glared at him with the intensity of a thousand suns. "I'm sure you will! As I said, I get around the forest. Bye Redclaw! Bye Eclipse, and I'm really sorry for disturbing you!" And with a swish of her tail, she was gone.

Redclaw shut his eyes and turned towards Eclipse as he waited for her scolding comments. However, none came. She just looked at him, her eyes a mixture of love and irritation, which Redclaw had learned just meant love. Wanting to have a little fun and lighten her mood, he cranked his smile up to about a level ten and in the most teasing voice he could muster said, "Love you too Eclipse." He laughed as she play nipped him. He staggered back, pretending he had been fatally wounded, and fell over on his side, pretending to wheeze out his last breath. He then let his body lay still as an icicle, not budging an inch, breathing only when he had to. When Eclipse didn't do anything and just waited him out, he walked over to her, kissed her forehead, laid down behind her, and started grooming her back. Life was good now. Redclaw hoped nothing would come and spoil it, for, in this new forest, with these new pups... It just seemed impossible.

[Eclipse]

Eclipse bared her fangs at Arma, "Good-bye."

Once the vixen was gone Eclipse relaxed and watched Redclaw looking worriedly at her. "I'm okay," She laughed. "I love you," Striking out to gently nip him. She laughed again as he pretended to die, then considered teasing him, but decided to wait him out. Soon he jumped up and kissed her forehead. She reached up to kiss his throat and lick his chin playfully, then laid down calmly as he groomed her. She smiled, not tired anymore, just comfortable with the pups safe at his side, and Redclaw grooming her.

Life was perfect, but possibly her past would meet with present soon....

OOC: Doesn't matter, though a half year would mean the pups are almost full grown, are learning to hunt, and can play!
