Maya smiled after him, then started to feel guilty. She had had fun, and completely forgotten Chaos during the act, but guilt bit her in the butt fast.

"Just a minute hun, I want to go take a quick wash in the creek. I am feeling a little warm. I'll be right there." She promised, then bounded to the creek to wash off. Soon she was at his side, trying not to look at Cort too much...

[Redclaws]

Chaos saw her dash to the creek, and thought he saw something weird in her pelt, but took no notice of it. She was really bookin it though. He wondered what was wrong. Wait till she saw what they caught though! Wouldn't she be proud! 2 elk, 4 rabbits, 6 mice and 7 shrews! Enough to feed everybody!

When she got back he smiled and licked her ears. She smelled like river, but something else was buried deep in her fur. He knew he knew the smell, he just couldn't place it.

Figuring it was just from the woods or whatnot, he left it alone. "Look how much we caught Maya!" He beamed. "Aren't you proud of me?!" In a lower voice he added. "I hope this somewhat makes up for what I did to Cort. I guess we're even now." He winked and nudged her. She had an awestruck look in her eyes. Chaos thought at first it was because of the size of their kill, but he noticed some other emotion, perhaps guilt, in her eyes. She was hiding something. "Everything okay?" He asked gently.

Maya momentarily let her guard down, looking at the freshkill pile, and noticing a flash of dark fur on the other side. Cort...

Then Chaos noticed something, and asked her about it. "What? Oh. Just feeling a little guilty," She started, then laughed. "I didn't rest the entire time you were gone like I was supposed to, I went for a walk in the woods most of the time." She 'admitted', her smile very realistic.

"Really?" Chaos sniffed her again. "You smell like woods, but not like you've been walking in them today. It smells to me like you've been in the cave all day, but you're kinda sweaty, so not sleeping either... Did you have a nightmare?" The thought that she cheated on him never crossed his mind once.


OOC: Ugh, sorry, but this is all I can do.

"That's strange, the creek water must have washed away the scent." She shrugged. "Ya, I did. That's why I didn't sleep, and went walking instead." She said, pose kept easily. The longer this went on, the easier the lieing became to her. She even managed to keep her eyes from shifting to where Cort stood at the edge of the clearing, though she could feel both his and his 'friends' eyes on her. She didn't react at all to him.

"Let's get the food served, then I think we should go to bed. I am kind of tired now, and I think you might keep the nightmares away." She smiled, eyes flirty as she snuggled up to his shoulder, and licked his ear. She felt a little strange doing this after such a recent moment with another brute, but she did it anyways.

Chaos smiled. Their argument was forgotten. She was flirting again. He kissed her ear and went over to the elk, ripping it into equalish pieces with his teeth. Soon, there were enough pieces for everyone, plus the rabbits and other creatures. Chaos addressed the pack. "My fellow wolves! We are here today not because we deserve this, but because one beautiful wolf, my mate Maya, has so graciously brought us all here under her wing. I know it was a big decision, but I couldn't be more proud of her for doing what she did." Cort snickered from the far side of the field. "Yeah, I'm proud of what she did too" Chaos whirled on him. "I'm sorry Cort, you had a comment?" Cort slyly looked at him. "Your mate is nice on the pleasure stick. Too bad she likes me more." Chaos blinked, not letting it get to him this time. "Cort will be eating last. That is all." He jumped down from the rock he was talking on and went back to Maya. He licked her shoulder. "Don't worry Maya. I know you didn't do what he says you did."

[Eclipse]

Maya felt stiff shock ripple through her when Cort announced them so loudly and clearly. Her eyes glared at him, shooting fire. The deal had been to keep it a secret! But her shock and anger could easily be read as offense from his vile suggestions, so she was safe from her mate's prying eyes.

"Of course I didn't! I love you, so why would I need him?" She demanded fiercely, then licked his ear as they headed to the den. Then they curled up together, and she rested her head on his shoulder, safe from the 'bad dreams' that had plagued her that day...

The next morning she rose, and Chaos was hurrying out. He said a quick goodbye and gave her a loving kiss, explaining something about needing to send out the morning hunt, and how he was leading it, but would be back sometime after sunhigh. She nodded, and laid back down, watching his retreating form. After he and a group of faes, plus a half dozen brutes, had left, she heard an expected scrapping noise from the den entrance. She stood up and whirled around, bristling. "What the hell?! You said you wouldn't tell! That was the deal, you, you-" She trailed off, eyes flaming with rage, but also a slight fear of how he might react to her outrage...

[Redclaws]

Cort looked at her, his eyes falsely gentle like they were when this had all started. "Aw, don't blame me hun, I had it all planned." He slowly padded up to her and circled her, letting his scent engulf her. "The more I say it, the more he ignores it. I know I should have let you in on my little plan, but I figured a natural reaction was best." He laid down and looked up at her with big puppy eyes. "Dont you think?" And like that, it began again. After a little pushing, Maya caved again, and Chaos was betrayed once more.

Meanwhile, on the hunt, Chaos started off with the rescued captives, laughing and joking as they had the previous day, when Chaos remembered something. "Oh! I was going to teach you girls how to set traps! I'll be right back." He hurried back to the hollow, and then decided to check on Maya, and maybe give her a little kiss. He dashed into the big cave, tail wagging, and heard noises he didn't expect. "Maya?" He called. The noises instantly stopped. A quick shuffling was then heard. He dashed over to her den, to see if anything was wrong. After just coming out of the bright sunlight, he couldn't see a thing. Peering into the darkness, he called out: "Maya? Maya honey, you in there?"


OOC: I dont want her to get found out just yet. You're smart, get her out of this

Maya felt her anger and hurt slowly drip away, and stepped towards him, once more falling under his spell of mayhem and guilt...

Upon hearing her name being called out, Maya jerked awake from the spell of Cort over her. The familiar voice, so curious and trusting, was coming nearer and nearer. Guilt was driven through her bloodstream, and she pulled away from Cort, ignoring his muffled growl of annoyance. She cuffed him over the head. As her mate's outline appeared in the cave entrance, the full effect of what she had been doing hit her like a full on wave. "I'm here honey," She coughed, trying to drop the edge of lust on her voice. She shook her head, and the guilt became too much. Besides, he was sure to smell the scent of their excitement, and if Cort didn't stop moving, he would be found too. Before Chaos was too close to hear, she turned to Cort, and made a hurried whisper. "Go to the back of the cave, there is an entrance in the back wall. It is too small to be really noticeable, but you should be able to fit. GO!"

[/i] She snarled softly, and he nodded, shooting out the back entrance.

When Chaos reached her side, his nose crinkled in interest at her obvious state of excitement. Her eyes avoided his as she scrambled for an excuse, but in the dark he wouldn't be able to notice. "I had a dream about you," Was all she said, the excuse lame, but perfectly able to explain.[/blockquote]

Chaos heard scuffling and a soft whisper from Maya. Was she calling him? He then smelled her excitement. He let out a low murr in response, but then stopped short. There was more excitement evident than just his mate's. "Maya... Honey... Is everything okay?" He sniffed her. He smelled another wolf, but he couldn't place it. When she told him she had a dream about him, he lost interest in the intruder. All thoughts were on his mate, and the fun they'd have that night. "Well keep those thoughts in your head, precious." He smiled and kissed her ear, "Because I'll make your dreams come true tonight." With that he turned and exited the cave.

Cort flopped through the hole in the back of the cave, almost right into the paws of his buddies. They smelled his and Maya's mate scents and rushed over. "Hey buddy, you score again?" "How bout lettin me get some of that?" Cort ignored them and walked straight to his best friend. A fiendish male by the name of Polt. Polt looked at him, eyes pleading. Cort nodded to him, and Polt followed him eagerly.

They crouched outside the big den entrance, making sure Chaos was gone, then they dashed back into Maya's den. "Maya... My precious little puppy... I've brought a friend... Now I know it may not seem right, but since you're all fired up, I thought maybe you could share."
