At his words Grass listened carefully, and considered. She thought how helpful a male, even young, would be towards keeping her territory secured. But she also knew that no lion, especially a royal one, could last long in the presence of a lioness without wanting to have her under his command, and cubs, and a family that he would rule. Especially one used to having control.
She was wary of this, but at least for now she could offer him a home. "You can stay, for now. One wrong move, one paw off the line, too far a step, and you're out." She growled warningly.

A grateful Adonis bowed deeply to her. His pale body only rising after a few (painfully) quiet moments passed by. While he was still fearful of an attack, at least he had a place to stay for a little while.
"You have my word, miss... I'll be out of your fur in a few suns. May I be so bold as to ask what your name is?" The young lion questioned, cocking his massive head to the side. "It would seem strange to be a guest here and not know the name my host is called." His mood was back to being a bubbly and warm one. The sarcasm and bitterness had been removed from his voice and in it's place came a more playful tone to it.

Grass relaxed as he did, and smiled, purring with surprise when he bowed. She laughed, realizing that he did not know her name. "I am Grass," She said, smile gently teasing her lips. "Spend as long as you need here. It has been lonely here for too long. Maybe we can even share stories later." She meowed, then sat down to groom the blood of her kill from her fur. Realizing suddenly why he had come over here at all, she looked up suddenly. "Oh! You may have something to eat if you'd like," She nodded to the half eaten gazelle youth.[/blockquote]

Adonis moved smoothly into a sitting position and smiled shyly back to her --- confused as to why he was suddenly blushing, though his pale fur easily hid it.
"A...Adonis." The lion lied; It was just an alias. Though she seemed friendly, he couldn't take any chances. The young prince was fairly used to going by this name, when he was a cub it was a nickname given to him by his lioness peers simply because they didn't like calling him "Prince Mtoro." Plus several felt it was more fitting, after all, he was among the few handsome males in the pride and was well-liked due to his courteous and friendly nature.
His gaze followed hers when she gestured to the gazelle and he beamed.
"Any chance you'll join me? I always find it easier to talk to someone when they're well-fed." He chuckled, though albit nervously as he made his way over to the carcass.

Grass smiled. "What a unique name," She mewed. Licking her paw, she preceded to groom her face, then paused. She listened to his request.
"Of course, if you want." Grass said, standing, and trotting over to her kill. She noticed the male, who called himself Adonis, was nervous. She wasn't sure why, but could smell the slight fear coming off in subtle waves from his body. She smiled, "Hey, as long as you don't try anything, I won't bite. Mostly my bark is worse then my bite." She grinned, and tore a chunk of meat from the gazelle's leg, crunching down happily.
