Maya ran away, once in the trees shadows she broke down crying. This was confused and fearful crying, upset and anger and rage and fear and sorrow and everything she'd ever felt coming through in one immense emotion. She cried and cried and cried, ignoring his calls. Did he really love her? And would she be able to accomidate him? She was in no mood for sex, and her hormones weren't either. Since Tyrk and Rape, she'd lost that kind of interest in males. Though in the Forest the magic had kept her lust flaring, this one let it die a terrible death, shriveling up in her dislike and distrust of the species of males.

Eventually she heard him sigh with frustration and came looking for her, anger and frustration in his scent as he got closer. She broke cover and raced away, crossing a stream to fade her scent and burrowing in the freezing cold snow with her wet fur. It quickly iced, and her still flowing tears froze as they came, miniscule pebbles of ice covering the floor of her new ice den. The falling snow buried her, and she finally silenced, falling into a dreamless sleep.

From up above all was silent, Chaos was still searching but had lost her hidden scent, and now if he found the clearing nothing would give away her presence....

When she woke she realized how stupid she'd been last night. He was a brute! Why couldn't he look at her? She was still confused, but her tears were dried up and frozen, her body heat having melted them in her sleep, and she made a tunnel to get out of the den. She broke cover and ran to the stream, jumping over it, and reached their campsite. Before entering she licked herself clean, then went to find him. "I'm sorry Chaos! I didn't mean it!" She cried, her dry tears welling up again impossibly. She wailed and threw herself at his feet, at his disposal now. If he said no she would kill herself. If he asked she would beg. And if he wanted, she was willing to have sex for the first time since her traumatic time with her mother and Tyrk and Rape and his pack...

Chaos had looked long and hard that night, not stopping for anything. Even when he lost her scent, and the wind bit at his fur like icy ticks. Love drove him on. The hope of seeing Maya again. Feeling her warm body close to his, whispering "I love you" into her ear. Just being with her. All those things drove him deeper into the snow. Frustrated and tired, he headed back to the hollow, tail drooping and heart breaking. "Goodbye Maya" He whispered. "Have fun wherever you are. You deserve it..." He reached the hollow and fell into a deep sleep.

He woke to the most wonderful sound in the world. Maya was running towards him calling his name! As he stood up and wagged his tail to greet her, she threw herself at his paws. "Maya... What are you doing?" "I'm so sorry Chaos. You should be allowed to look at me like that. You're a brute you can't help it. Despite that, I'm ready. Ready to take the next step with you... I'm ready for sex." Chaos blinked, confused. "Look at you like what? I don't know what you're talking about." He then put two and two together. The part about what happened right before she left fit in exactly with what she just said. "Maya... I wasn't looking at your rump on purpose! I was just lost in thought, and that happened to be where I was looking. I love you Maya. I'd never do something like that without your permission." His mind was burning with a single question. "Do you love me back?"

"Of course I love you!" Maya laughed, and licked his chin. "Forever and always."

She wagged her tail and rolled onto her back, raising her muzzle to kiss him. At first hungrily and unbelieving, then sweet and gentle, which fast turned to something more. She was ready, for the first time since Tyrk, and she wasn't even influenced by the Forest! "I love you,"

Chaos couldn't believe it. A minute ago, they had been fighting, with Maya on the edge of suicide. Now she wanted to be his mate! It was sure a crazy day. "Maya, I'll always love you too, don't you ever forget it. No matter what happens, or how tought the road ahead may seem, I'll never stop loving you, and if you're ready, I'd love to take the next step in becomming your mate. When she nodded, Chaos turned his body around, laid his chest upon hers, and proceeded to mate with the love of his life.

When Chaos awoke, and he didn't remember where or who he was at first. Then he looked at Maya, and everything became so much clearer. Her pelt glistened with light as the morning sun poked its way through the branches of the tree they had fallen asleep under after a few hours of mating. Chaos Remembered his feelings from the night before. So much joy, love, and ecstasy was packed into the short few hours, yet it could've been a couple lifetimes for all he knew. It was definately the best feeling ever, and he hoped Maya felt the same way, because they more they would do it, the closer they would get. At least that's what seemed logical to Chaos, and he hoped it was logical to Maya as well.

His body stiff from all the work it had exerted the previous night, he decided to take a walk and/or hunt to loosen himself up. He followed the direction Maya had run yesterday, and happpily bounded from one tree to the next, sniffing bush after bush in pursuit of prey or something else that caught his fancy.

The sun seemed so much brighter today than any other day had in a while. He was so happy he felt as if he could leap up and touch the golden ball of light, floating what seemed like just out of his reach. So he tried. His first attempt was pathetic, and he only raised about a foot off the ground. The second was way too much, and he landed on his back. Hard. Worried that he had broken a bone, he slowly got up and examined himself. Everything seemed to be in order, so he pranced off elsewhere to find food for his new mate.

OOC: Yay! I'll do my best! May be pathetic, but as I said in other, I'll be on more, and am getting back into the swing of the wolves! xP

Maya slept soundly, her back touching her mate's side, her muzzle resting on his paws. When he got up to leave, she shifted, but ended up curled into a ball, her long black fur flowing softly around her muscular build. She sighed gently, and continued snoring in her soft, gentle way.

Soon she woke up, and stood. She stretched out, her joints and spine popping, crackling, stretching and curving, until it popped back into place and she yawned. Her jaws opened widely, sucking in tons of air, her pink tongue curling in midair while showing her healthy gum and pearly whites.

She smiled, noticing Chaos was gone, and knew he had gone for either water or food, and wouldn't be too far away. She sat and groomed herself, letting her rough tongue cleanse her thick fur of any debris it had collected during it's roll through the dirt last night. She smiled lovingly at the memory, and hoped for more later that night. But she knew when he got back, they would have to follow the pack again. Revenge came first, then if they were still alive after that, and only then, would they discuss settling down for a home life, or maybe a wandering life as a loner pair.

Then she heard the crack of a branch, much to soft to be her mate. She turned to see, and saw the vixen. It was a small red fox, beautiful and fluffy, with a white tipped tail. Foxes were known enemies to mothers and their pups, but as she had none, she was not worried.

"Hello," She smiled.

OOC: 303 words! We should sign up like 2-5 foxes, 2-3 per you and me, and maybe Irv could make a few too, as he is now an admin right? And they would be the main culture here in the FoLL, like one or two would be healers, a few others would just be travelers, and all would know this land well. They can pop up randomly in different threads, and offer help to lost, starved, or unsure travelers.

OOC: However, we don't want to interrupt other rps with our fox characters. Maybe we can make a separate catergory for fox rp? Oh well, that can go up for debate in the admin area

After his morning prance and near fatal wounding, (Not to mention his excitement from the previous night), Chaos was feeling pretty exhausted. However, his intense joy and overwhelming contentment was more than enough to keep him going. He hunted for about three more hours (At least in wolf time, which is closer to three mintues) and ran back to his mate with a shrew, a rabbit, and a squirrel that almost bested him in speed.

When he returned to find the fox, he was a little less than amused. foxes preyed on wolf cubs. Like the ones his mate would be having soon. "Hello..." He started warily. "I'm Chaos, and this is my mate Maya. Can we help you?" The fox obviously picked up his defensiveness and got a mischievous look in her eyes. "Oh, no, I'm just passing through, looking for some prey." Her deliberate emphasis on the word prey made Chaos bare his teeth and snarl. "I know what you want" he snarled "get out of here". The vixen was enjoying this way too much. "Ooh, someone's a little tense... Don't worry, I don't bite strong brutes like you" This was said in such a way that Chaos thought he saw Maya's fur stand on end. He crouched, getting ready to pounce.

Noticing that she was about to be attacked, the vixen leaned back on her hindquarters and started licking a paw. "I bet you're wondering where you are, aren't you?" Chaos looked at Maya. They definitely wanted to know where they were, but they weren't sure that they wanted this vixen to tell them. Chaos nodded at Maya, letting her know the decision was hers.

Maya's smile faded, hearing the vixen's threat. She snarled, and prepared to attack as well, then sat up, eyes flashing wearily. "Continue." She ordered harshly.

The evening was damp, the sun starting to set, and it glittered off of the mountain tops. The trees swayed in a high altitude wind, and lower down the ferns and fur of the canines were moved in a slightly less fierce breeze. Clouds of fog where hanging in the distance, and it was obvious that they rose from a distant lake, glittering and shimmering in the pink and gold sunlight.

Chaos looked at the vixen with no amusement in his eyes or expression whatsoever. "If you'd like to tell us where we are, do so. If you just want to find a quick meal, look somewhere else you dirty vix!" The fox simply sat down and scratched her head. "Well, basically, you've travelled out of the Forest of Lust and into the Forest of Less Lust! Although not cleverly named, it hosts a wide variety of wolves from all around the world, seeking shelter from the Forest of Lust's cruel displayal of wolf society. (Although I do enjoy a casual romp there myself sometiems!) That is why the Forest of Less Lust is right next door! And lucky for you two, the enchantment from the regular forest doesn't work over here! How about that?!" She looked at Chaos, who looked at Maya, who wasn't sure who to look at. The vixen didn't wait for a response though, she simply winked at Chaos, flicked his nose with her tail, and vanished into the trees. "The Forest of Less Lust... Interesting... What do you think Maya?"

Maya listened curiously, surprised. She had wondered why she didn't feel so lustful and into sex over here. It was more real love then enchantment created lust and need.

"Interesting." She said, tapping her tail thoughtfully. "Sounds like a nice place for a family." She smiled, looking at her mate.

Chaos smiled. He hadn't thought of them having a family before. What a wonderful thought! He nuzzled her shoulder and crooned softly. He then remembered why they had come to the new forest in the first place! "Maya... Shouldn't we get going towards your family? We should really get started before you start to show." She nodded. Chaos yawned and stood. "Lead the way my love."

OOC: Kinda slow right now, but I'm guessing it'll pick up as soon as we get to her family's camp.
