TIEGAN"I just want to be loved."
The femme was easy on the eyes, and light on her feet, padding her way through the new terrain curiously. Her overlarge ears would have made her look comical, if the fur around her head wasn't so long. Alas, it was, and thus created a beautiful looking image to be displayed. She moved smoothly, calmly, paws barely making a mark on the ground, well, they hardly would anyway if she was trying, she was smaller than the average wolf by far. Green eyes focused on the world around her, taking in the new sights, but nothing stunned her more than what she'd just stumbled upon. Her paws slipped on ice, sending her a few feet before she stopped, amazed. Green eyes went wide and she looked down at the frozen water, a small smile coming into play on her maw. Ah, it was a beautiful pond. A wonderful thing to take her mind off of all her troubles lately. Troubles. They seemed to follow her lately. Cling to her like a stubborn substance that wouldn't come off. It was agitating, and her mind was rolling with so many thoughts. So many things. Sometimes she thought it would be better if she crawled in a hole and slept for all of eternity. But, she would miss out on this, the wonders that this new forest held for her. Hopefully she could put her past behind her, and start fresh...

Chance dashed through the forest, looking behind him every couple of steps. Please don't let them find me! I haven't done anything wrong! Well... under the circumstances it wasn't anyways. The shouts of his pursuers could be heard ringing throughout the forest, and he winced as he thought about what would happen to him if they caught him. This was one of the many times he wished he could run faster. His tail, now shortened and bleeding, was impairing his balance, making running even more of a challenge. He silently cursed the spirits for giving him strength, and not endurance.
His lungs were burning, and his pads were dry, cracked, and bleeding. As he ran, he looked around for a tree with a branch he could jump to. He spotted an old oak and headed towards it. He bunched up his powerful hind legs, and with his last burst of energy, lept into the enormous tree, barely grasping the lowest branch in his front legs. He hung there for a moment, catching his breath. He then swung his hind end up just as the other wolves dashed into the clearing. "Where is he? I'll tear his head off! Murderous little punk! It's wolves like this that give our pack its bad name. The one who was talking was the pack alpha, Trigit. He sniffed around the base of the tree, and snarled as he looked into the branches, hoping to see Chance, but he was gone.
Chance lept from tree to tree until he was far away from Trigit and the rest of the pack. Murder... A word that had only litte meaning before today. His parents death had caused quite an uproar... This isn't how I wanted it to end... This wasn't my plan at all...
When he was sure that his old pack was gone, he carefully climbed down from the tree and walked on. As he walked, the air around him grew colder and colder. To his surprise, he started seeing snow underneath his paws. He looked behind him. There was a fine line where the snow started and the lush forest floor stopped. Puzzled, but not really caring, he went on. This forest was a strange place, and he was used to seeing things out of the ordinary.
He walked for a little bit, when suddenly, he felt his paws slip out from under him. His injured tail impairing his balance, he flopped down on the ice. As he lay there, waiting for the pain to go away, he spotted another wolf. It was alone, and his first insticnt was to attack, but as she came closer, he realized she wasn't from the pack at all. Beautiful reddish-brown fur accompanied by a gorgeous black mane on her head made for one attractive female. He sat up and tried to look as threatening as possible, in case she was looking for a fight.

Tiegan was enjoying herself, pouncing on the ice, her small paws catching the snow under them before it melted away, leaving hardly a trace of it, but a print of her own behind. The smile was large on her maw, and her short tail swayed to and fro, almost as if she was happy. And she was. Happy in her own little world, pouncing from snow mound to snow mound like a little pup, sometimes disappearing into a mound of snow just to erupt out of it with a flume of the white powder being thrust into the air. Her giggles were loud and clear, melodious, enjoyable. Her black mane flowed around her as she paused, shaking herself off from her fun before she realized, she wasn't alone. Her large ears pinned against her pointed skull, green eyes focusing on the male that was suddenly before her. His threatening posture kept her at a distance, and she snorted slightly towards him, turning away. "Excuse me," she uttered in a slight tone. She wasn't looking for a fight. She wasn't really looking for anything at the moment except an escape from reality.
Her nimble limbs led her over the ice, paws skating across it now as she got used to it, all thoughts turning away from the male. She wasn't going to pay much attention to him, after all, why should she if he was acting as if she'd pounce on him? She was by far smaller than him, and didn't see why, or how, he saw a threat in her. Her lids closed partway over her green irises and she pounced in the snow on the ice once more, disappearing into it before erupting from another side with a loud squealing laugh, sliding on her hindquarters over the ice. She was just enjoying herself, but the looming fact of the male bothered her, and she ended her fun with a heavy sigh. She turned towards him, and neared him with ease, balanced on her small paws. "Pff. Do you think I'm going to hurt you?" she asked, staring at him ridiculously. "Do you really think I'm evil or something?" she asked another question, snorting as she sat down before him. Her voice was soft, harmonious and sweet like honey, holding tones that you could fall asleep to, if she bothered to sing something.

Chance groaned inwardly as the femme walked away. He shrunk down from his threatening posture and sighed. Why am I so nervous? It's just another wolf! He watched her walk away, her beauty seemed like it should've been melting the ice around her. He watched her romp and play, jumping into little piles of snow and sending a flurry of white powder in the air around her. As he watched her, he thought about what his next move should be.
I certainly can't go back to the pack, they'd kill me on sight. I can't follow this wolf around, she now thinks I'm crazy and mean... Oh! Why did I have to kill her? Why? Murder was one of the most frowned upon things in the pack, and Chance knew it. He hadn't been thinking straight at the time, and in a fluffy of rage and hatred, disposed of her. If only his mother were still alive! How he wished he could bury his nose in her soft warm coat and forget all his worries. But he couldn't... She was back at the hollow. Dead now, and forever.
While feeling sorry for himself, the femme had slid over to him without her noticing. He jumped at the sound of her voice and was too surprised to answer her first question. When she asked another, he mumbled "No, I'm just a murderous coward, and you don't want anything to do with me." He didn't want to pour the story out to this femme, but he did. "It's just... I'm not really a murderer. I just was so angry... and my head clouded... and... and... And then she was dead. My mother's death was too overwhelming for me to handle, and I had no control over what I did. Trust me. You don't want me around. I just want a normal, happy life." He paused as tears welled up in his eyes. He then straightened up and tried to act strong, even though he was crumbling inside. "I just need an escape... And I'm sure I can find it. I just need to forget the past. My mother's death wasn't my fault, and the sooner I realize that the better." It was about this time he noticed the look she was giving him. It was a cross between "You need help" and "What the crap are you talking about? Just shut up and leave me alone". He quietted down. "Sorry... I didn't mean or want to dump that all on you."

Tiegan's small paws hardly made an imprint under her as she sat there, her large ears tilted backwards as he suddenly burst out with an explanation out of the blue, causing her to stare at him. Green eyes widened slightly as he rambled on and on about something that happened to him. It was almost as if she wasn't there, because he wrapped up his conversation with himself quite easily, answering his own worries and taking care of it by simply just speaking of it out loud. Beautiful green eyes merely stared at him as he rambled until he realized that he was was rambling in the first place. She snorted, her sharply defined maw turning away from him to focus out on the horizon before looking back to him, eyes now half hooded before she shrugged. "At least I sat here and listened," she said softly. It wasn't like there was anyone to listen to her troubles, but she shook it off, sighing under her breath and lifting off her haunches to walk a few steps. She bounded a few steps, sliding over the ice before coming to a stop in the middle of the lake. Under her breath she huffed, and she slowly lowered herself down to lay there, letting her eyes close. She wasn't trying to be mean to him, really, she was just...overwhelmed with her own thoughts suddenly.

As she walked away, Chance just stood there, not wanting to move, breathe, or anything. He just wanted to die. It seemed fitting. A death for a death. No, I've spent too much time staying alive. I need to live. I don't know why or how, but I need to. He looked at the femme again. He really longed to lay down next to her. She was right after all. She had listened.
Mustering up all the courage a brute like himself could, he walked over to her. She was asleep, but his loud and clumsy pawsteps had woken her up. Stupid! I haven't even said one word and I'm already ruining my chances! He looked at her. She didn't seem very mad. Just a little irritated and confused. He took in a deep breath, and attempted to be civil.
"Th- Thanks for listening back there... It means a lot to me. If there's ever anything I can do for you, just let me know." The female snorted and gave him a scornful look. Chance wondered what that was about, but he couldn't let it phase him. He'd made it this far, he wasn't going to falter now. "I'm Chance. What's your name?"
OOC: Sorry its kinda short...

She hadn't been sleeping, just relaxing, and the sounds of pawsteps caused her ears to twitch somewhat, and she sighed through her nose, turning her head to look at the male semi-curiously. A small snort left her nose as she heard him, turning her head away once more. What was there that he could do anyway? Probably nothing. Right now, she just wanted to take a nice easy breath and relax where she was, preferably without the company of the male that had thought she was a threat before spilling his guts out to her. When he spoke again, and said his name, she sat up, her long black fur falling into place as she watched him with green eyes, small paws easily settled on the chilled ground below her. "Tiegan," she uttered softly. Her easily defined head turned away from him for a moment, now at a loss. Well, he'd initiated this conversation, so it was up to him to keep it up. Either way, she didn't mind at the moment.

Good. She was semi interested in what he had to say. At least that's what Chance took out of her actually sitting up and talking to him. "Look, I know I've made a bad first impression, but I promise you my second one is better, so, if you'd be willing to give me a second Chance, I'm sure I can prove myself to be a much better wolf than I came off as." He sighed. Who was he kidding? He couldn't make friends. He was terrible at it. His mother had been his only friend in the pack. He'd hated all of his packmates. Every single one of them. He wished they'd all die...
Out of nervousness, while he was talking, he'd started drawing little circles in the fresh snow on the ice. It ended up looking like a heart, and he quickly erased it, hoping she hadn't seen it. What a terrible second impression that would make for. Hoping she didn't notice, he awaited her response.
OOC: Sorry, my RP muse is just like, ugh...

Again, her ears twitched to listen to him, her green eyes turning towards him to give him her attention. She didn't notice the shape he'd traced, but did notice he was fidgeting and playing with the snow out of some nervous habit. Her lips pulled into a toothy, wolf grin, though it was more feminine and less scary than the normal wolf. "Yeah, you kind of did make a bad first impression," she huffed out, though it wasn't in a rude way. At least he was willing to admit he was wrong, something most males were too egotistical to do. "Alright, Chance, you'll get a second chance," she said softly, rolling her shoulders in a type of shrug. Really, it didn't bother her, though her mind was preoccupied, however, that wasn't really noticeable at the moment.

His head perked up and he wagged his tail. "Great! I really need a friend!" He nudged her shoulder and started running off. "Can't catch me!" He yelled. He may have looked like a huge strong brute, but he was just a pup at heart. The real problem though, was that he couldn't run anywhere. The ice made his paws all slippery and he fell right down on his stomach, legs going every which way. Embarassed, he laid there and waited for her laughter. Her teasing, mocking laughter. The kind that always followed his simple mistakes, even when he was in his own home.
